Here is Panchamirtham - Authentic Indian fruit salad, offered as 'prasadham' after prayers in temples and known for its nutritive value.
Ingredients:
Main Ingredients (shown in plate):
- Banana - full or half
- Dates - 2 chopped
- Raisins
- Ghee - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar/Sugar candy (I have cut down sugar & candy)
Additional Ingredients (Optional):
Any fruit...I have some chopped grapes and pomegranate.
Steps:
- Smash the banana.
- Add all the ingredients except ghee.
- Mix it up
- Add ghee
- Give one more mix up
Let the mix sit for 15 to 20 mts...Enjoy the delicious chunks of dates, raisins and other fruits soaked in smashed banana while the greasy ghee adds the aroma..Identify whats called 'purity'...!!!
