Kanji is the term used to refer traditional Indian soups/porridge often made with grains/lentils.

- Used as home remedy for mouth/stomach ulcer when combined with coconut milk.
- Given to nursing moms to help increase the breast milk.
- Helps in digestion.
- Given as light food during fever/cold/illness.
Ingredients:
- Garlic 10 to 12 pods
- Fenugreek 1 tsp
- Yellow Moong dhal 2 tsp
- Brown rice 3tsp (soak in water for 20mts)
- Salt
Steps:
- Add all the ingredients to a vessel.
- Add little salt.
- Add water such that the ingredients are soaked.
- Cook on low flame on stove top for 40-60mts until all the ingredients are smashed and got a porridge consistency (or) pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
- Garnish with Corriander leaves and pinch of powdered black pepper...
Add coconut milk to use as remedy for ulcer.
