Brown rice Pasta

Best alternative for White or Wheat pasta is Brown rice pasta. "Wheat" has got lots of discussions about its gluten content & so brown rice takes the priority when it comes to healthy choice....

Here is a quick healthy recipe...



Ingredients:

  1. Brown rice pasta
  2. handful of chopped Onion
  3. Sweet tomatoes---10 to 12 
  4. Mushrooms--as required
  5. Jalapenos--1 
  6. Chopped ginger and garlic--a small ginger piece and 2 garlic cloves
  7. Little bit of Thai chilli paste
  8. Salt
Steps:
Step 1: Cook pasta in boiling water with salt. (Refer Vah Chef's video in You tube for pasta boiling)
Step 2: Add little olive oil and fry onion and chopped ginger & garlic.
Step 3: Once the onion, ginger and garlic is completely fried, add little Thai chilli paste. 
Step 4: Add mushrooms to step 3
Step 5: Add water to cook.(just add little which is enough to cook mushrooms and chilli paste).
Step 6: Add little salt(remember salt is added in pasta too.)
Step 7: Once the pungent smell of chilli paste is gone and water is dried... add tomatoes and Jalapenos.
**I did not add tomatoes & Jalapenos with mushrooms because I want the tomatoes to be whole and Jalapenos to be crunchy.
Step 8: Allow the added  tomatoes & Jalapenos to settle with chilli paste & other ingredients.
Step 9: Add the cooked pasta and mix well.
